Angry Birds is a Finnish action, puzzle, and strategy based media franchise created by Rovio Entertainment. The game series focuses on the eponymous flock of colorful angry birds who try to save their eggs from green-colored pigs. Inspired by the game Crush the Castle,[1] the game has been praised for its successful combination of fun gameplay, comical style, and low price. Its popularity led to many spin-offs; versions of Angry Birds created for PCs and video game consoles, a market for merchandise featuring its characters, Angry Birds Toons, a televised animated series, and two films; The Angry Birds Movie and its sequel The Angry Birds Movie 2. By January 2014, there had been over 2 billion downloads across all platforms, including both regular and special editions.[2][3]


While the first five birds (Red, Blues, Chuck, Bomb, Matilda) and Hal were used, their 'hurt' sprites were never used. Same for Bomb's exploding phases, wide-mouthed Hal and Terence. This was added in v3.1.0.


In order to save performance, the sprite/score calculation is achieved if and only if the score has changed from the previous update call. Then, the respective sprites are enabled and the relevant score is shown.


In this mini-game, everything is Metal Gear Solid themed, you play as Solid Snake trying to date Otacon while being assaulted by the disembodied heads of Psycho Mantis, Gray Fox, and Liquid Snake with Revolver Ocelot and a revolver with an ocelot's head watching the scene. A Solid Mech can be seen standing in the background. The bench is from the original, but now the colors are darkened. The only things not changed are the jumping football players, the karate champ, the valley schoolgirl, the awkward bean guy, and the dog sprites, and the sky scenery. The song is mixed with Childish Gambino's "3005". At the end that song, the original music continues until the end.

Baxter and Forthington are replaced with Terry Crews and Batman, respectively, and their planes are replaced with Mr. Clean and Robin, respectively. They use a bottle of Old Spice and Knight Warrior spray. The birdie is now Red from Angry Birds. Before beginning, the trees are Ludicolo and the rest are drawn with Windows Paint. No changes to the water. The clouds are now Mario clouds, and within them, King Dedede, Kirby, Troll Faces, the Batman logo, Cloud Man, and Cloud (from Final Fantasy VII) can be seen, and the sun is now Luna the moon from Bear in the Big Blue House. On the sea are giant rubber ducks, the Titanic, and Bubbie the Whale from The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. At some points, clones of Toucan Sam, Daffy Duck and Donald Duck are flying in the sky to make it look like they changed the captain and the blue birds from the Rhythm Heaven game, Blue Birds and the white birds. George the Volcano from the viral Volvic ad in the UK district is seen on the island in the background, while some of the other islands are on fire with Godzilla. Another island contains Wily Castle. The music is mashed up with "FUCK BEES" by LuigiBlood, which itself is a mashup of "Hip To Be Square" by Huey Lewis & The News and a sound clip from Penn & Teller: Bullshit.


Here, Riku from Kingdom Hearts replaces the muscle doll, and the button to blow him up is now a jar of Muscle Milk. The punching bag is not changed. In the crowd, characters featured include Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr. Robotnik or Eggman, Batman, Cloud, Shia LaBeouf, and the birds & moai heads from Moai Doo-Wop from Rhythm Heaven. Two clones of an African American boy standing in the ring's corners. Two muscular SpongeBobs appear in the background, the spotlight at the beginning has an image of Riku's head photoshopped onto a wrestler, while the spotlights later on have manga-style drawings in them. The music is mashed up with "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" by The Offspring.


The bow and arrow are now a sniper rifle, and the ghosts are now children with guns who turn angry when shot. The A button has also changed to the Illuminati symbol. The music is unchanged in the practice mode, and then mashed up with the Space Jam theme during the real deal.


The kappa is replaced by Ronnie from Whomp!. Player 1 is K.O. Joe from Chop Socky Chooks and Player 2 is Sunny Bridges from Class of 3000. The balls are Eubie from Higglytown Heroes (large ball), some diamond ore from Minecraft (medium ball), and the title card for the Spongebob Squarepants episode "The Secret Box" (small ball). The audience are Mr. Popo and various Legos, Pepes and Kermits watch from inside the buildings. There's also Nyan Cat, Wii Fit Trainer, and Wii Balance Board. A UPS truck drives by occasionally. The gate is made of Swipers, Timmy Turner's Dads, and The Big Cheese from Toontown. In the background there images of Willy Wonka and Boromir their respective meme frames. The restaurant buildings are pictures of CDi Mario and Luigi, and Eario from Brawl in the Family on the left, and a frame from an Oxi-Clean commercial on the right. The fish is the Lunch Lady Ghost from Danny Phantom, the cucumber is a rope, the gold coin is a picture of sad SppongeBob, and the heart to get an extra life is either changed or unchanged. The lives were changed into some things. The lake and unused old man sprites remain unchanged. The music is mashed up with the Space Jam theme.


The pirates are Captain Jake from Captain Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and the boat is the uTorrent menu. The sea is a bunch of The Matrix movie posters. The captain is Rottenbeard. The pigs are now cars (Ferrari, Ford, Chevy, Audi, Jeep, etc.). The obstacles are images of some stuffs. The music and the small fish sprites are not changed.


Angry Birds Ultimate is a game developed by Rovio Entertainment, Combo Games, Nevrade Entertainment, AngerTech INC. and Nintendo. It (tries to) include(s) all of the birds. Progress on the game is slow, but this has to be the ultimate Angry Birds spin-off game ever! The levels are very challenging and this game is meant for people who are expert at Angry Birds. The game is released for beta testing on Android devices, and it will be released on iOS, Android, Switch, Xbox and Windows. No news yet for other devices. The game uses Toons-like sprites.


Save Jamaa! is an event as a collaboration of Rovio and WildWorks. It takes place in Jamaa. The pigs and phantoms are causing trouble again as they take over the city of Jamaa and trap all of the animals. The birds start to get very angry over this and to save the animals of Jamaa, you'll have to venture through Jamaa to stop the pigs and phantoms and restore peace in the city.


An enemy character labeled as Shang Mu Mercenary appears in a few Prerelease screenshots of Freedom Planet, primarily the early beta/demos where he is seen driving a plane and the Shang Mu Caravan. Unlike most other scrapped characters this one has quite a few sprites associated with it such as running and piloting animations. It is also currently unknown if Shang Mu Mercenary was the character's actual in-game name around the time of its development. The Shang Mu Mercenary naturally resembles a another scrapped character (see below) and a Shade enemy, most notably the Shuigang enemy pilots. Eventually the planes the Mercenary piloted were replaced with the Shuigang Helicopters seen in the final, however the original plane object remained in the game and was changed to use a placeholder sprite.


Taken further, you can create huge groups of sprites - your level geometry for example - and put them into a container div. Guess what? The browser will draw all million pixels in a single pass. If left unchanged, the entire level is often cached as a single texture on your video card for ultra-efficient re-use on subsequent frames.


For a few seconds, the screen after this is pitch black and nearly silent, the only sound being a deep rumbling. The 'game' fades back into view, though Sophie is no longer playing as Bon. Now, the player character has changed to a purple figure with Susan's face. The room this section takes place in is the backrooms, with extra animatronic parts around. Sophie picks up a wrench, and approaches Bon. When she reaches him, the background changes to a photo of Bon, and the only sprites left are the ones of Susan and another, faceless Bon. Suddenly, the entire screen is changed to a black and white flashing image of Bon, and then Susan's face becomes distorted, seemingly melting from the eyes and mouth, while glitched audio plays. Another distorted photo of Susan appears, fading into a shriveled and bloodied one, and then fading into a bloody image of Banny. After this, we are brought back to the backroom section of the game, with the player character being Bon again. Sophie approaches a present box and picks it up, causing another image to slowly render. This image shows Susan stuffed into the Banny animatronic, with the caption of "i am still alive, but i cant move, and im having trouble breathing, and my stomach feels weird". This disappears, and the sprite of Bon moves to Banny's animatronic, giving her the present box. Banny's sprite then starts to move.


Sprites are created by adding textures to Sprite Collection assets. Each texture produces one or more sprites (in case of a spritesheet), which are automatically packed into one or more atlases for runtime use. Sprites can be added/removed/changed as needed, with the system taking care of automatically rebuilding the atlases after each change.
